3-乙酰基-11-eto-β-博斯韋爾酸，又名AKBA，是一種五環三萜，以選擇性、非還原性、酶導向和非競爭性的方式抑制5-脂氧合酶。此外，AKBA抑制拓撲異構酶Ⅰ和NF-κB信號傳導。

In vivo: PC-3 xenotransplanted male NMRI/nu-nu mice were injected intraperitoneally at 100 μmol/kg daily for three weeks. AKBA dampened growth and proliferation of PC-3 xenografts in nude mice and elicited apoptosis. Moreover, compared with the control group, AKBA reduced the tumor volume and the invasiveness of the tumor into the surrounding tissues
